Boosting Teamwork Strategies: Lessons Learned from the PR206 meeting with Kyrgyz Team

April 24-25, 2025, a working session included an off-site event at the Emergency Situations Center, where attendees were introduced to the structure operations of the Crisis Management Center under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.


According to the host, this meeting aimed to enhance bilateral confidence in the Center's capacity to function


as a beneficiary within the project, as it can officially provide support for the achievement of project objectives.


In the afternoon, convened with command staff from the Kyrgyz side, which comprised experts and curators specializing in heavy metal and radioactivity measurements, in addition to teams focused on GIS, to address information-related challenges concerning the early warning system.


Also here was conducted a courtesy visit to the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), where hosts shared their expertise in remote sensing technologies. This visit further reinforced AUCA's standing as a leader in this domain.


An official meeting was also held with President of the Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, and GB member of the ISTC, who was very open and precise in the discussion regarding seismology, climate change, and the projects that were supported in this matter by the ISTC.
